New cosmetics brand Storybook’s cruelty-free Harry Potter-inspired Wizard Brush Set sold out immediately after the company’s premier item launched last week. Each brush is made with synthetic fibers, and features a wand handle inspired by characters Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Albus Dumbledore, and Lord Voldemort. “There were only 100 sets available and over 3,000 people on the website,” Storybook posted on Instagram. The company was launched last week by identical triplets Mandy, Erin, and Missy Maynard and has already received mass media attention for their creations—which also include mock-ups for upcoming eyeshadow and lip lines inspired by television series Game of Thrones and 1990s cult classic film Clueless. In addition to Storybook, a growing number of makeup companies are opting for animal hair-free brushes, including drugstore brand Wet n Wild, which is set to launch 17 all-vegan brushes this January.
